Taxi Services & Rates
Taxis are readily available at most locations, such as the airport, cruise ship terminal, resorts, restaurants, and more. If a taxi is not nearby and available, it is standard to call and order one by telephone. It is important to note that taxis in Aruba do not have meters since rates are based on destination rather than mileage, and are set by the Aruba Department of Public Traffic. All prices are per taxi not per person (maximum five passengers allowed, infants of two years or younger are not considered in passenger count). On Sundays, official holidays and after 11 PM additional charges to the regular rates apply. Taxis can also be hired on an hourly basis.
